Seto KaibaxReader- New Assistant pt. 1

"And stay out you disgraceful excuse of a worker! You're fired!"

"Ah! Please don't do this Mister Kaiba!"

"Get out! And don't ever come back here!"

You gulped nervously and shifted uncomfortably in your seat as you watched another one of Kaiba's workers get kicked out of his office with his things.

"That's the third one he's fired this week."Kaiba's brother, Mokuba, who was currently standing beside you, said. You looked up at the dark haired boy.

"Y-yeah...and If Kaiba's like that, what makes you think he'll hire me?"you ask. Mokuba's frown shifted into a smile at you.

"Because  you have amazing business skills _______! I've seen them! You're exactly what Seto is looking for plus you really need a job to support your mother right? It's a win-win!"he cheers yet you grimaced.

The only reason you were here in Kaiba corp applying for a job is because of your mother. She had become sick recently and you needed money to pay for an operation that she desperately needed to survive.

Your mother was all you had so you were willing to do anything to get the money you needed. Even if that meant, working with Kaiba, the most difficult man in the world.

"________.."Mokuba's voice pulled you out of your thoughts. You look up at him in acknowledgement. "My brother will see you now. Good luck."He says. You gulp and stand to your feet. Taking a deep breath, you made your way to Kaiba's office.

You stepped in the room quietly where a busy and fuming Seto Kaiba, was typing on his computer at a quick pace. He didn't even glance up at you.

"Take a seat ______.."he says in his cold voice.

You do as you're told and sit down in the chair in front of his desk. You rested your hands in your lap and stare down at them while jostling your leg  quickly.


Nothing could be heard in the room except for the ticking of a wall clock and the tapping sounds of Kaiba's fingers on his computer keyboard.

Finally, the tall brunette shifted his icy blue gaze from his computer screen, to you. The two of you stared at each other quietly for a few seconds before he  sighed.

Kaiba  intertwined his fingers and rested his elbows on his wooden desk. He then laid his chin upon his knuckles.

"So _______, I must say I was quite surprised when Mokuba told me you wanted to work for Kaiba corp. Why?"he asks. You gulped. What should you tell him? Should you tell him about your mother? Kaiba wasn't one to go for sob stories.

"Well I..um..well.."

"_______ really admirers Kaiba Corp Seto!"  Kaiba looks up as his younger brother enters the room with a determined look. You stare at him as well.

"Mokuba..What are you doing in here?"Kaiba asks sternly.

"Aw come on Seto. You know you make people nervous. _______ probably can't think with your cold glare on her like that."Mokuba says. The young boy skips over and stands beside his older brother. "______ works hard at what she does! I've seen it! She's also very charismatic and Kaiba corp could use somebody like _______! You need a new assistant anyway big bro."

"A-assistant??"you question. Kaiba sighed and nodded.

"Yes, didn't you even know what you were applying for? To be my business assistant. I need somebody I can trust in this company. As you could see, I just fired one of my top assistants because he was a spy, working for another company. I won't allow that. Not in my business." Kaiba says. You stare at him.

"So..you think I fit that spot?"you ask.

"Depends. As my assistant, you are entitled to do everything I say. You will not question any decision I make nor will you question me and I will treat you however I wish."he says. You glare at him and stand abruptly.

"In that case, no way! I will not settle in this job to be your pet who says 'how high' when you say jump! Or roll over when you tell me to! Forget it! I'm out!"you bark, turning to walk away. Mokuba gasped.

"Wait _____! Seto didn't-"Mokuba's call was interrupted by his brother's outburst in laughter. You also stop in your tracks and look over your shoulder at him.

"Well..looks like you have way more life than my previous employees and I think it will fit nicely here _______."The brunette tells you with a smirk.


You turn to face him fully as Kaiba gets up from his seat and walks over to you.

"So I-"

"You're hired. Just make sure you're not late."he says, shaking your hand. You couldn't help but smile big at your new boss and then at Mokuba. You silently thanked him then look back at his brother.

"Thank you mister Kaiba. It's my pleasure to serve Kaiba Corp alongside you." you tell him with a bow of your head.

Kaiba nodded and in an instant, you were dashing out of the large building where your good friends, Yugi Moto, and Joey Wheeler, were waiting for you.

Yugi smiled big at you while Joey pouted with his arms crossed.

"How'd it go ______? Did you get the job?"the shorter boy, Yugi, implored. You nod and jump around excitedly, cheering.

"I did! He hired me! Isn't that awesome!"

He nodded.

"It's great _______."

"Pft, I still don't understand why you want to work for that stuck up no good Kaiba of all people, to get that money for your mom ________."Joey scowls, flipping his blonde bangs away from his brown eyes.

You frowned at him.

"Come on Joey. You of all people should understand my situation. It's the same as when you were fighting so hard to win that money for your sister, Serenity."you tell him.

He sighed.


"I know dat ______! It's just..Kaiba? Of all people!"

"He pays well. And I really need everything he's giving."You say. Joey rolled his eyes and sighed.

"Yeah yeah. Well anyway, how about we go grab a burger or something to help congratulate you on ya new job!"The blonde suggests. You and Yugi smile and nod in sync.

"Yeah, I could sure go for one."Yugi says.

"Me too. Now let's go!"

"________! Come in here_..Please.." You stepped into Kaiba's office and approach his desk. He looked over at you from the papers he was holding in front of his face.

"Yes...Mister Kaiba?"

He glanced up at you then down at the bundle of papers.

"I see here that you've only dueled twice in your life. Tell me ______, how do you expect to help me run Kaiba corp with no experience of duel monsters whats so ever?"you could hear the seriousness in his tone.

Though he was serious, you were surpreised that he wasn't yelling at you about it or even firing you. He's been well known to do that especially since he was one to take his card games seriously.

"Well I..uh..Sir..It's rather embarrassing for me to admit this..but I was never really taught how to play duel monsters well. I lost both those games because of how little I know of the game.."you confess.

Kaiba stared at you quietly.

He stood and turned his back to you so he could look out of the huge glass window  behind his desk.

"Well..I guess you'll just have to be taught then. No assistant of mine is going to work here and not know the proper rules of duel monsters."He says.

"Oh, I'm getting a tutor?"you ask.

"No. I shall not waist money on a worthless tutor. I shall teach you myself. Every Saturday, you are to report here in my office for your lesson and even during your work hours. I shall teach you. Am I clear?"he asks coldly.

You frowned.

"E-every Saturday?"

He turned to you quickly with a glare.

"Is that a problem?"

You shake your head and look down at the floor.

"No..Not at all. Thank you sir." Bowing your head, you dismiss yourself from the room and Kaiba watched your backside as you left.

"Hey ______!"you looked up at Mokuba who was running at you from down the hall.

"Oh, Mokuba, Hey." You greeted him with a heavy sigh. The boy smiled up at you.

"So how's your first day going? How's working with my brother?"he asks.

You shrug.

"It's fine. Though I have to come to work every Saturday for Duel monster tutorials.." You groan and Makuba gasped in response.

"What? Every Saturday?"

"Every...Saturday..from now until I'm just as good of a dueler as him."

He grimaced and pat your arm gently.

"Oh..well..Good luck then _______. Trust me.. You're gonna need it.."
